Scaling up a super-local brand

CLIENT — BRATISKA

We founded and still run this unique local brand in the capital of Slovakia; initially it was just for fun and for a few friends. For more than eight years, Bratiska has become a beloved streetwear brand that supports a healthy sense of local pride — be it fabric featuring artwork from local artists or the simple typography of streets and neighbourhoods.

Together with non-profit organizations and corporations with similar values, we aim to build positive relationships across generations, parts of the country, races, and nationalities. We are not afraid to stand up against hate speech, violent behaviour, and other problems. Our products are eco-friendly and have a Fair-Wear certificate that supports workers in realizing their rights to safe, dignified, and properly paid employment.

We are constantly evolving and expanding our portfolio by adding different and new types of products and new locations.

In 2020, we adjusted to a new generation of popular art collectors and we expanded our product range with collectable limited art-print series (200 pieces and signed by the artist) featuring motifs of districts, neighbourhoods, and city landmarks. They sold out within minutes, hours, or a few days depending on the motif and the artwork.

In 2022, we are preparing to expand to neighbouring countries.
